Everything you need to know about The Hillman Duathlon 2026 — from registration to race day.

General Questions

The Hillman is Northeast India's premier Duathlon event, organised by Hillman — India's premiere Duathlon organizing company. The inaugural edition takes place in Chandubi, Guwahati, Assam in September 2026. A Duathlon is a Run-Bike-Run multisport event — no swimming required!

The Hillman is open to all Indian athletes aged 18 and above. Whether you're a first-time racer or a seasoned multisport competitor, there's a category for you. All participants must be medically fit to compete.

  • Sprint — Run 5km / Bike 20km / Run 2.5km (Beginner Friendly)
  • Standard — Run 10km / Bike 40km / Run 5km (Intermediate)
  • Olympic — Run 10km / Bike 60km / Run 10km (Elite)

Visit www.thehillman.in and fill in the registration form. Select your category, provide your details, and complete the payment to secure your spot. You will receive a confirmation email once your registration is confirmed.

  • Sprint — ₹1,000
  • Standard — ₹1,500
  • Olympic — ₹3,000

Early bird discounts may be announced — follow our social media to stay updated.

Registrations are non-refundable. However, you may transfer your slot to another athlete up to 30 days before race day. To initiate a transfer, email us at info@thehillman.in with your registration details.

Race Day

Race Day Questions

  • Government-issued photo ID (Aadhaar, Passport, or Driving License)
  • Your bib number (provided after payment confirmation)
  • Running shoes and cycling gear
  • Helmet — mandatory for the bike segment
  • Water bottle and energy snacks
  • Sunscreen and any personal medication

Yes. A properly fitted cycling helmet is mandatory for all participants during the bike segment. Athletes without a helmet will not be allowed to start the bike leg. There are no exceptions to this rule — it is a safety requirement.

All standard road bikes, mountain bikes, and hybrid bikes are allowed. Electric bikes (e-bikes) are not permitted. Your bike must be in safe working condition — brakes, tyres, and gears will be checked at transition.

Yes. Aid stations will be set up at regular intervals along the run and bike course, providing water, electrolyte drinks, and basic first aid. Medical personnel will also be present throughout the course.

  • Sprint — 2 hours 30 minutes
  • Standard — 4 hours 30 minutes
  • Olympic — 6 hours

Athletes who exceed the cut-off time will be pulled off the course for safety reasons.

Yes. Official results and leaderboards will be published on www.thehillman.in/results within 24 hours of the race. Age group rankings and overall rankings will both be available.

Travel & Logistics

The Hillman Duathlon 2026 takes place at Chandubi Lake, Guwahati, Assam — one of Northeast India's most scenic natural locations. The venue is approximately 45km from Guwahati city centre.

  • By Air — Fly into Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, Guwahati. The venue is ~45km from the airport (approx. 1 hour drive)
  • By Train — Guwahati Railway Station is well connected to major Indian cities. From the station, hire a cab to Chandubi Lake (~50km)
  • By Road — Guwahati is connected by NH27. Follow signs to Boko/Chandubi from the city

Yes. Dedicated parking will be available at the race venue for athletes and supporters. We recommend arriving at least 90 minutes before your race start time to allow time for parking, registration check-in, and warm-up. Detailed parking instructions will be shared with registered athletes closer to race day.

We recommend staying in Guwahati city the night before the race. There are excellent hotel options across all budgets. Alternatively, there are eco-resorts and homestays near Chandubi Lake for a more immersive experience. A list of recommended accommodations will be shared with registered athletes.

Absolutely! Supporters and spectators are welcome and encouraged. There will be designated spectator zones along the course. Entry for spectators is free. We recommend bringing comfortable footwear and plenty of enthusiasm!

Yes. Food stalls and refreshment counters will be set up at the venue for athletes, supporters, and spectators. A post-race meal will also be provided to all finishers as part of the race experience.
